A taharet faucet is a stainless steel faucet commonly found in Turkish bathrooms which is used for performing ablution, the act of washing oneself before prayer. Taharet faucets are typically installed alongside the toilet and have a small hose attached to them which is used to direct the water for washing. The faucet is activated by a handle or lever and can be adjusted to control the flow and temperature of the water. Taharet faucets are also called shattaf or bidet faucets and are becoming increasingly popular in other parts of the world for their versatile use in cleaning after using the toilet.
